01

Ordering

If you have original artwork, the first step is usually creating a strong digital reproduction file. We offer professional artwork capture in our Scottsdale studio.

If you have a physical original, Artwork Capture creates the reproduction file first. After capture, choose a paper or canvas and build the print through the print order.

See Artwork Capture →

Yes. Choose the paper or canvas, upload the best source file you have, and build the print. TIFF is preferred, and a high-quality JPEG can also work well.

You do not need to decide whether the file is technically perfect before beginning. If something needs attention before production, we’ll let you know.

Artwork Capture & Files

No. Start with the highest-quality source file available. A new upload does not need to be cropped to the final print size before ordering.

For a new upload, the artwork review step lets you confirm the crop and finished dimensions during the order. If the artwork is already on file, identify it and enter the finished size on the product page. If a production issue needs attention, we’ll contact you before printing.

Yes. We capture original artwork in our Scottsdale studio using a Fujifilm GFX100 II medium-format camera and Broncolor strobe lighting, with attention to color, tonal range, detail, texture, glare, and distortion.

TIFF is preferred; a high-quality JPEG is also accepted. Files should be RGB with an embedded profile such as Adobe RGB (1998) or sRGB.

Avoid screenshots, web downloads, and heavily compressed files when a better source is available.

Our goal is a faithful reproduction. A print and an original are different physical objects, so some difference in light, surface, texture, and color response is unavoidable.

Careful capture, color management, material choice, and physical proofing help us get as close as practical.

Papers & Canvas

We print on artist-grade papers and canvas, including smooth and textured matte, satin, luster, pearl, baryta, metallic, glossy, rolled canvas, and gallery-wrapped canvas.

You can compare the full collection on our Papers & Canvas page.

Yes. Registered clients can order free paper and canvas samples to compare texture, sheen, weight, brightness, and overall character.

No. White point, coating, texture, gloss, and ink response vary by material, so the same file can look noticeably different from one surface to another.

That’s why we recommend proofing the material when the final appearance matters—especially for new artwork, a new surface, editions, exhibitions, larger runs, and color-sensitive work.

04

Proofing & Color

For new artwork, new surfaces, work being sold or exhibited, editions, larger runs, or color-sensitive jobs, we strongly recommend it. A physical proof lets you judge your artwork on the actual material before final production.

You do not need a new proof for every routine reorder once the artwork, material, and production setup are already approved.

See when we recommend proofing →

We recommend proofing once for each material you plan to use. Approval on one surface does not automatically carry over to another.

See proofing and approval →

We retain the approved production file for that material so future orders can be produced from the same approved source.

05

Printing & Production

We use Canon imagePROGRAF production printers with LUCIA PRO pigment inks on professional fine art papers and artist-grade canvas.

Longevity also depends on the material, display environment, framing, light exposure, handling, and storage.

We can print up to a 60-inch roll width. The actual maximum for an order depends on the selected paper or canvas and its available roll width.

For unusually large work, contact us before ordering so we can confirm the material and production approach.
