Original paintings, drawings, watercolors, mixed-media artwork, and other physical pieces must first be converted into a high-resolution digital master before they can be reproduced.
Professional artwork capture is about much more than creating a photograph. It is the process of accurately recording the color, detail, tonal range, texture, and visual character of the original artwork so those qualities can be faithfully reproduced in print.
At Craft Giclée, original artwork is photographed using our Fujifilm GFX100 II medium format camera system with professional Broncolor studio lighting in a carefully controlled environment. Every artwork is evaluated individually to determine the best capture approach based on its size, surface characteristics, medium, and overall presentation.
The resulting digital master becomes the foundation for future printing, limited editions, exhibitions, publications, licensing, and long-term archival records.
