01 · ORIGINAL ARTWORK

TURN YOUR ORIGINAL INTO A REPRODUCTION FILE.

If the artwork is physical, start by creating a high-resolution reproduction file for printing.

THE FIRST DECISION IS CAPTURE. A good capture gives you a file you can use for prints, editions, and future reorders.

PROFESSIONAL ARTWORK CAPTURE

We photograph the original with controlled lighting and high-resolution equipment, paying attention to color, detail, tonal range, and surface character.

The capture setup is adjusted to the artwork and its surface.

02 · DIGITAL FILE

START WITH YOUR BEST FILE.

Have a photograph, scan, or digital artwork? Start with the highest-quality version you have. We’ll review it before production.

DON'T GUESS ABOUT YOUR FILE. Send the file. We’ll tell you if anything needs attention before printing.

FILE REVIEW & PREPARATION

We review the file for resolution, dimensions, color information, and suitability at the requested print size.

TIFF PREFERRED Preferred when maximum image quality and production flexibility are important.
JPEG ACCEPTED High-quality JPEG files are suitable for many projects.
RGB COLOR Use RGB with an embedded profile such as Adobe RGB (1998) or sRGB.
300–355 PPI A useful target for many fine art applications at the intended print size.

A physical proof lets you evaluate color, contrast, detail, and the actual material before final production.
